Worst bank to deal with for loans. I was with this bank for over 10 years and needed a loan, years prior got a approve for a $10,000 loan and paid it off in less then two years, two years later was asking for the same amount and got denied. I left the bank because I was fed up with how they treated their customers and how they did not meet my needs. two years later I bought a truck for 10x the amount i previously requested and they were the bank the loan was through, I thought that I would give them another chance, now every year they are calling me to send my insurance renewal papers to them when I never had to deal with this issue with any other auto loans, I will never do business with WFCU again.

Bunch of clowns working here, They could not transfer over a friend's lease to us as he was going away for a while. We were taking over his lease and payments. They has a issue with our profile Freaking clowns. We just bought a brand new 80k car without any issues a week later. Avoid these scammers.

Arguably the worst financial people to deal with. I'd give them zero stars if I could. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, especially anything that has to do with vehicle purchasing and leasing. They will work a "disposition fee" into your contract, which is essentially a fee that you owe them for giving the vehicle back. Basically they say "hand us the keys, and oh, also give us $500." In addition to this, they wont actually come to you with this amount owing until 3 months after you have returned the vehicle. I returned mine at the end of December before the lease even matured officially, and the first I heard about any amount owing was 2 weeks ago, and they were only giving me 2 weeks to pay it before going to collections for it. Makes sense right? You owe us $500 for some ridiculous cash grab fee for returning the vehicle, but we're not even going to tell you about it, NOR even tell you how you can pay it until 3 months after you have actually returned the vehicle in question. This fee by the way that they are attempting to collect on, is supposedly in order to clean and repair the vehicle. However, when speaking with them, they are telling me that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle and it was in tip-top shape upon returning it.

These people are modern day criminals acting under the guise of financial professionals who will do anything to strip you of your money, regardless of your situation, regardless of their fault in mishandling the timing and delivery, and regardless of the nonsensical nature of the money in which they're seeking.

Criminals.

WARNING - I had a lease contract with WFCU that I signed back in 2021 since it is the leasing company that the dealership uses. My car was stolen and luckily I had comprehensive coverage through my car insurance that allows me to get back full $$ value of the vehicle. WFCU has a clause in their contract that allows them the CHOICE to deem a loss vehicle as a 'breach of contract' and with any breach of contract they are subject to keep all future payments remaining. Upon review, they did decide to deem my STOLEN VEHICLE (something completely out of my control and happening so often right now) as a breach of contract meaning that despite the insurance company fully paying off the vehicle, they chose to keep all future lease payments as penalty (ie keeping interest payments on a vehicle that's been fully paid off). Their choice has left me without a car nor the means to replace it, as the remaining payments/interest was 75% of the term. They have put me in such a difficult position and I will NEVER sign a lease with them ever again. Beware if you have a lease with them and your car is high on the stolen vehicle list in the province.

If I could give a zero star rating I would. Been a member for 14 yrs had a loan but have fallen on hard times and had to file bankruptcy. My account was frozen,knowing this was my only source of income, when I called about getting it unfrozen they where really nice until i told him I had to include the loan I had. He was then extremely rude and informed me that the money i had in my account now belonges to them cause i was in over draft and hung up me before i could even get a word out. I was devastated and taken back by how rude and inconsiderate he was and how he just hung up on me. Again I had been a faithful member for 14yrs and one little mistake they treat you like trash.

Wow, so my small business ran into a problem with a substantial misdirected EFT that was no fault of WFCU but just the same they spent most the day tracking the funds down (which ended up at a different institution because of a 3rd party error) and got it all refunded, much to my relief.
You can't even get through to traditional banks these days for help; but these folks answer on the first ring and sort stuff out right away.

I've had two bad experiences with this bank. The first was years ago and minor, a few payments had come out after paying off a line of credit and it was a little more difficult than necessary to get the money back

The second time I had problems I was given multiple reasons as to why the issues were happening, and I was told at first that the fees would be waived but then was made to pay them in order to close my account even though they admitted fault.

Erika at the Lasalle branch helped me to sort out a mix up with a direct deposit. The Friday before a long weekend, she understood the urgency. She was quick, calm, kind, and resourceful. She is a true asset for WFCU - Thanks again Erika!!!
