Our journey with Veneto Homes started in 2021 when we decided we wanted to build our dream home. We came to Veneto with our idea which was naively based off Pinterest photos, and from the start, Adrianna was just as excited as we were to make it come to life. The patience and reassurance they gave us through the design process until we were ready to build is something we are so grateful for. We felt like we were a part of the team the whole way. Specifically, we were involved in each step and were able to make changes through the build as we wanted. Building a custom home is exciting, but it is not a straight line and as to be expected there are challenges along the way. Veneto was responsive to all our questions and concerns and handled it all diligently and with competence. We know our home is high quality and exactly how we imagined it to be and our friends, family and neighbours always compliment it. It’s now been 6 months since we moved in, and we are so thankful to Veneto for making our dream home come true, and we highly recommend them for your custom build!

We built with them and it has been a very difficult and disheartening journey.

Two years and one month for a 2100 sq foot bungalow. The verbal and written contract said they would be done in one year.

THE CONTRACT HAD LEGAL LOOPHOLES THAT GIVES THEM AS LONG AS THEY WANTED TO BUILD ,,, DESPITE WRITING AND VERBALLY COMMITTING THEY WOULD BE DONE IN A YEAR.

IMAGINE PAYING AN EXTRA YEARS RENT AND STORAGE INSTEAD OF PAYING YOUR OWN MORTGAGE. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!!

Currently we have a 50 page deficiency list with Progressive New Home Warranty and the are not responding to us. This was Venetos choice of warranty provider.

We literally have unpainted doors a year after moving in.

BUYERS BE WARE. READ YOUR CONTACT. CAREFULLY AND DO NOT USE PROGRESSIVE. HOME WARRANTY.

JUST GO TO GOOGLE AND SEE THEIR REVIEWS.

Now that we have filed a claim with Progressive New Home Warranty all services are suspended until review. ( Even though Veneto promised to repair many existing issues).

We are currently backed into a corner and don’t want to see others in our situation.

OUR CONTRACT WAS ALSO UNDERVALUED ON ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING AND LUMBER!
THIS COST US 10’s OF THOUSANDS MORE THAN THEY SAID. ,,, TOTAL MANIPULATION
( they make you use their inflated suppliers for plumbing and electrical. ) the budget allowed for pot lights, additional lighting , plumbing and lumber was brutally low.

We were building a luxury home and they new that. ( we went through their show home repeatedly ) they sold us a budget for a cookie cutter

WATCH OUT FOR THE LEGAL TRICKS. AND THE DECEPTIVE SALES.

Brutal communication, terrible management, and bad craftsmanship throughout the entire process.

CHOOSE A DIFFERENT BUSINESS.

My wife and I are professionals and we never want to bad mouth a business but these people are off the charts bad.

Despite the financial loss and stress they created,,,,,

This was our dream home!
They sucked all the joy out of the experience.

We purchased a new home build by Veneto homes just shy of 9 years ago, when we discovered our roof was leaking in several spots due to improper insulation (professional roofing inspectors review and conclusion.) We reached out to Veneto to find out who the company was that installed our roof. Our hope was to be able to work with the installer and rectify/repair the problem. After weeks and several calls to Veneto, with no returned or follow up calls to us, they finally informed us of the company they said had installed our roof. We called the company and they took all our information and said they would call back right away and help take care of it. They never called back and stopped answering any calls. After I submitted reviews of our experience with the company online, they called and left a message saying that if we did not stop calling and remove the reviews, they would get their lawyer involved. Veneto also called and asked us to take the reviews down as they may have been wrong that this company had installed our roof. They informed us they were working to find out if it indeed was this company or another company and give us their information. I removed the reviews and not surprisingly, Veneto stopped answering or returning calls. This unfortunately is not the only major construction/product installation issue we have had with our home that was built by Veneto nor is it the first time we have dealt with them no longer answering or returning calls once they’ve been made aware of the issues.

We used Veneto Homes to remodel our main floor including our kitchen. I can’t say enough about how pleased we are with the project. The level of service, professionalism, and overall workmanship were exceptional. Adriana and her team not only took our ideas and listened to us but the input and design ideas presented to us while incorporating our ideas were outstanding.
