My experience with USAA has been pretty terrible. Insurance claims take months to resolve, three months later my vehicle has still not been repaired and it’s nearly impossible to get ahold of claims agents or have them call you back. Adjusters are farmed out to third parties which doesn’t make matters easier. The telephone system is awful. I can’t ever get authenticated because their system doesn’t validate my social, pin, or military information. For both banking and insurance there are better options.

Refused auto insurance stating I have a fraud claim against me but refused to tell me what it is or how to resolve it. Been trying to get any info for over a month.

Can someone please reach out to me ? We are having a nightmare using your insurance! I am down a vehicle for over 2 months now because your claim adjuster refuses to speak with me or my husband! My husband has lost his job because he can’t preform it with out a vehicle! This is a brand new 2023 car that we are unable to use but pay your insurance on every month! We try calling everyday and get sent to Marcos voicemail . We have tried contacting your company every day and you just tell us we can not get another adjuster . I have been with your company for over 10 years and never had anything like this happen to our family .

This branch is a joke! Drove 6 hours to have a form signed for my husband just verifying his account number for direct deposit. Cathy refused to sign because he wasn’t in front of her. Nothing on the form stated he needed to be there. She told me to get a local bank since he was disabled and couldn’t drive there. Called the 1800, the rep told me to just sign it because I was a joint holder. Went back in, Burnadette asked me rudely if I was back. Wouldn’t even look at the form. Just stated bc my husband wasn’t there they wouldn’t sign it. This was just a form stating his account information was correct. I have never been treated so badly. Worst customer service ever! Disabled vets, this is what this branch thinks get u a local bank bc they don’t wanna help you!

So I knew while everything was closed because of COVID that this location was closed, so today before leaving my home which is 21+ miles away I best check to see if they had reopened. I had even seen a review from earlier this year saying it was closed for COVID but the website was show with green color that it was open and had been verified recently. Well that was not the case it is closed sign on the door honestly looks like the same sign from 2 years ago. USAA makes too much money to not be able to manage its website. Call before going to this location.

USAA Renters Insurance screwed me. I lost everything I owned from flooding and mold. USAA stringed me along for 3 years, then covered less than $3500 on a $75000 policy, with $175,000 in losses. Then only after it was too late did they even ask for the proper paperwork the claim needed for me to receive a proper payout. I got that to them immediately and they responded it was beyond the time limit and refuses to pay me. In my state the laws are against me winning anything because of the method of USAA screwing me, and I'd lose even more on lawyers I can't afford after these losses. Go with ANYONE other than the crooks at USAA!!!

USAA deserves -5 stars if I could give them that. The worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They locked me out of my own account because they said my wife didn’t have a driver’s license - she can’t drive because of a medical condition, and her license expired. Because of this, I spent 2 nights sleeping in my car in a parking garage while my wife was in labor during the covid outbreak, because I wasn’t allowed in the hospital, and I had no money to pay the fee to get out of the garage or even get food or anything to drink. I explained the situation to USAA and the rep said there was nothing she could do because my wife was a joint member in the account and needed a valid ID. Thanks for letting me starve for two days and forcing me to sleep in my car USAA, you really know how to treat members of the armed services. You are HORRIBLE and should be ashamed of yourselves.

I've been a member of USAA for 12 years. The customer service is great. I was hesitant about using a bank without ordinary branches like other banks, but they really have the experience mastered. I haven't been in a bank for years because of how good the services are.

I have auto loans, credit cards, checking and savings accounts as well as a brokerage account. The only account I would not recommend is the brokerage and that is only because there are better online brokerages out there and not because there is anything wrong with USAA.

I highly suggest becoming a member.
