Just had the best experience selling at Trader Joe's. We took some silverware to a different shop down the road last week and they turned us away claiming it wasn't real silver. We went to Trader Joe's for a second opinion and not only did they test and confirm it was real but educated us in the process. Both the owner and his wife were friendly and helpful and gave us a great deal. Don't even bother shopping around Durham if you have things to sell. This is where you get your best value.

Has a amazing experience at Trader Joe's! I came in with broken jewelry (I didn't think they would take it but they did) I was amazed at the amount I received! Wonderful and kind husband and wife team. From the time you step into their store you are treated respectfully and with such professionalism and a smile. I have been to the store twice, both times selling gold. And both times they have given me more than double what other pawn shops have given. They have even rounded up the amounts! They are very fair and test all the jewelry properly. By far the BEST pawn shop and such a decent friendly couple. Highly recommend Trader Joes.

Wow, is all I can say!!!! Joe was a delight to work with and I was shocked at the amount of cash I got for a the little bit of scrap gold I gave him!! Wonderful family business, nothing like any "Pawn" shop that I had imagined!! Thanks Joe, I will definitely be back. Don't even waste your time going anywhere else!!

Wow ! ... recently visited Trader Joes, on Simcoe St., and boy was I surprised ! ... never been there before, but was actually greeted by Bill at the front door ... was he ever friendly ! ... then, I went over to his trading desk, and presented him with some silver items, that I brought to sell ... he glanced at them for a moment, then offered me about 50% more than I had expected ... hello ? ... done deal ! ... if you are ever in need for this type of business, this appears to be the best in Durham, hands down ... they even have lots of cool stuff for sale, like jewellery, guitars, etc ... can go on and on about the experience, but you get the picture! ... a very laid back, low pressure, no nonsense, well run family business! ... I will be back ! ... John
