I have been a renter with Tilt since August 30, 2024 and I have to say that so far I am so impressed. My house was beautiful when I moved in to it. Bright and clean. And when I need something fixed it's so easy to go online and submit a service request. And when I do, the response time is lightning speed and the issue is fixed fast. If you're looking for a place to rent, and you come across a property that's managed by Tilt, you'll know you're in good hands. Highly recommend!!

I have been with TIlt Property Group since 2021, and my experience has been wonderful. They are supporting you in every detail possible. They make the best recommendations probable to make you feel in good hands. Payments are on time, communication is open all the time, and yes, you might say that it's too expensive, but the peace of mind they provide you is worth more than anything. Deplorable company. - let me just say I know there will be a passive aggressive response that is completely unprofessional to this review. Let that speak for itself.

I was yelled at in office by maintenance lady when asking about a washer being fixed because it is in my lease to have a washer provided or accommodations if one could not be. It took weeks of back and forth for them to come to an agreement on accommodations while they were trying to be cheap and find a part for the washer that was available no where in Canada, and they knew that. I was on EI at the time and a single mother and this woman took the opportunity to YELL at me to the point I was crying in the office. All I was asking for was to come to an agreement after weeks of not being able to wash me and my son's clothes.

As SOON as this was resolved a mysterious email was sent in via THEIR OWN website with my email and phone number attached that was threatening to them and the CEO of the company, at which point I had no idea of the name of or had even existed. I was blamed and threatened eviction. It only made sense I was being framed. I was embarrassed by having to sob on the phone to the office manager explaining to her there was no way I could have sent the email. When asked for records so I could report to police the only explanation I was given was it came from a VPN so it could've been "anyone" but anyone with half a brain could put pieces together of suspects in that.

I eventually did get a new washer and dryer after about a month and a half, of which I sent a VERY grateful voicemail.

There was a point when batteries has corroded in my thermostat on the wall of which, i did not place the original batteries there and every fire station I called said it was a hazard to handle as well as replace as they had corroded onto the connector to the wall, and I was advised "just to replace them" while it was in my lease to change batteries, it is not in my lease to handle toxic chemicals / put myself in harms way from past clients or tilt's faulty batteries that quite frankly could've burned the whole suite down. After much arguing they did eventually come out and replace the thermostat as well. But not before having to call AHS, and some unnecessary remarks about my "boyfriend just removing them for me" whom did not live in the suite or was even on the lease.

I had 2 annual inspections while upstairs had 0.

When it was time to move out I came home to over 10 postings on my door of POTENTIAL showings for my suite, of which I have cats that would run, so I would have to be there for every potential showing that they would only MAYBE make me aware of hours before. Putting my job in jeopardy by having to be out of work 2 days a week a couple hours a day. By tenant labor board standards 24 hours notice is literal 24 hours notice, not weeks in advance notice of POTENTIAL, it needs to be ACTUAL. When I brought this up to TILT they acknowledged they were working in a "gray area" as the office manager called it. Why would you, as a property management company want to air on the side of gray areas rather than the side of actuality?

They eventually came to an agreement of emailing me for actual showings... but not without a LOT of back and further of hassle and arguments.

Upon move out, they expect you to bring the suite to SHOW SUITE STANDARDS. Regular wear and tear IS NOT PERMITTED. Be prepared to do work to get any security deposit back. They charge up to $35+ and hour for minimum 2 hours work just to clean a light fixture you couldn't reach or forgot just as an example.

They rarely answer office phones or will blatantly ignore calls, there were many times I had to show up to the office to get any business done and ability sit there until someone would come speak with me.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

On top of it, all these positive reviews come from viewings, they ask for reviews on VIEWINGS. Not on actual rentals, which is pathetic and predatory if you ask me. Not an honest reflection of business. Stay far away.

I’ve been doing a lot of research into property management companies around Edmonton, TILT is the best by far! Their team is professional, responsive and always makes you feel like their top priority. I was able to speak with the owner over the phone and loved his transparency and involvement with his company. TILTs model also gives a lot more power to the property owner as opposed to the property management company itself. The on-boarding process was smooth and easy. I can’t wait to continue doing business with TILT.

I am very happy with Tilt Property Group. At first I was concerned that most communication was done by email and worried it would be tedious and time consuming. However, that is definitely not the case as I have never had to wait long for a reply from any member of this organization. Not only are responses quick, but everyone I have had dealings with either in person, by phone, or by email, have been professional, helpful, and courteous. Tilt made the experience of applying for and getting settled into our new place very easy! Every person we met from Tilt was friendly and helped answer our questions promptly.

The only area where we would suggest improvement is providing more time for a move-in inspection. 30 minutes was a bit tight of a window to find things, and we ended up finding more stuff as we moved in. However, as we did find stuff, Monique and maintenance team at Tilt responded quickly and got the issues addressed.

Overall a very good experience and an excellent team to work with.

Go up
