I had always had an incredible experience at The Launch, the staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable in the store and on the gas dock. Scott and Serina go above and beyond to ensure I find the perfect product and to accommodate my needs. They also have a fantastic store with everything you need for your boat, from life jackets and boards to boat cleaning supplies. Their passion for what they do is evident, and I highly recommend checking them out!

Our family is so glad to have an amazing boat launch and surf shop right at our doorstep! Been too long since Sylvan has had services like this.
The crew at The Launch and owners Scott and Serena have always been so helpful and caring towards us and our family/friends.

I purchased a Phase 5 surf board for my teenage boy, they provided good information in what board to choose, good selection of boards to look at, the pricing was fair and their service was above and beyond my expectations. I really struggled with writing this because The Launch has a monopoly with the marina, but, this needs to be said. We were very hesitant about renting a slip this summer because of some of the terrible reviews left on here but we ended up paying the $5,000 for the season and renting a slip. It was a terrible decision. I suffer from MS and mobility issues. The male owner was fantastic and even gave us a closer slip on the dock so I didn’t have to walk as far. Wonderful! I was so happy. But then we had interactions with the wife. She yelled at my husband (a first time boat owner) about taking too long at the ramp when there was nobody else waiting for the ramp or there to launch. But whatever, we can deal with that. The kicker was a few weeks later when I asked for the code to the locked bathroom I was told that I was not a paying customer, apparently renting an over priced slip does not count. I walk with a cane and was told to try walking up the stairs and using the restaurants washroom. There is no elevator. I can’t go up the stairs. I was shocked. The teenager helping me said she was sorry. I left in tears and so embarrassed. We had to drive to McDonald’s to use the washroom there. I honestly have never felt judged or dismissed because of my disability but now I have. It’s a terrible feeling. Maybe it was an off day for everyone but treating people with a little bit of kindness goes a very long way.
