I entered about ten minutes before closing hours and was not expecting more than a brief conversation with Dan, who was alone in the store and whom I had met several times before and done business. I was received very coldly and was simply offered a business card and told to make an appointment. I smiled and mentioned that I was a previous repeat customer and was again just very coldly handed a card with a clear nonverbal message that he wanted me to get out. A smile and a polite suggestion that he wouldn’t have time to handle my needs was all that it would have taken to retain a customer, but I don’t deal with rude people and won’t be back.

I went to stop in at the New Penny and learned that the owner had passed away. I was told that there was a new shop near by and checked it out. I was not disappointed. The owners are very knowledgable and make every effort to make those customers feel at ease. Their stock range is good with something for everyone, regardless of their budget. I was looking for some low price coins to fill my in my collection and they treated me as if I was a high roller. This his such a nice change as some stores I've been too that make you feel that you're not really worth their time. I have been back a couple of times and look forward to continuing to give them what business I can.
