I’m incredibly grateful for the kindness and support I received during my conversation with Greg. I was feeling very overwhelmed, but he was professional, patient, and genuinely understanding throughout the entire process.

Greg, the owner, displayed unhelpful attitude and is not a person recommended to deal with.

Brett, an employee, gave inaccurate information regarding the insolvency which resulted in much higher (double) fees after all of the initial questions had been answered.

The owner Greg, at a later meeting, was unapologetic and unprofessional in handling the oversight from Brett. Greg's attitude in handling the situation was poor and overall dismissive and not respectful.

Understanding and empathy is what is needed. Greg at Smythe Insolvency did not show this during the interaction. Recommend to look elsewhere.

In mid-2023, I applied for the Smythe Insolvency Program, and by the beginning of 2024, I was informed that my application had been accepted. However, it is now mid-year, and I am still receiving calls from creditors. Notably, the same bank has contacted me three times.

I was under the impression that this program would put an end to the harassment and calls from creditors. This has caused me significant frustration and loss of confidence in your services. Despite adhering to the program and contract terms, the harassment continues.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided. I advise others to be cautious, as even after paying through the program and having the contract accepted, you may still face persistent creditor harassment. This experience has been profoundly unsatisfactory.

I wanted to share with anyone that finds themselves drowning in credit debt. I was such a case. My debt came to a head in October of 2019. I saw no way out and I didn't want to take the bankruptcy alternative. Instead I opted to take the Insolvency route and pay of my debtors while incurring no interest. It was the credit cards that needed to be addressed first. I was told to cut all these up, which I did. I wanted to be debt-free by the time of my retirement in 2022. I turned to Smythe Insolvency Inc., at the suggestion of my brother, David. He was educated in the matters of finance and got me to contact Smythe which I did. Long story short, I decided to give them my refund from my tax return in 2020. That was in excess of four thousand dollars, The next payments were monthly withdrawals from our bank account of $300. This continued up until early April of 2022. I had managed to save the monies that I would have paid out in interest plus I had my savings from work and also another tax refund too. Rather than wait until 2023, when my final payment was due, I decided to give them a lump sum payment to cover the balance owing, of some $3700. I was now debt-free and now fully retired from my job.

I have thanked Smythe Insolvency for removing this weight from our shoulders, with their excellent guidance and assistance in resolving our debt. I now am not interested in ever having another credit card, unless it is a prepaid one that I can place a balance onto, before using if need be. That option will be my next step if I have to build up my credit rating once again. Thank you.
