I find this review is a difficult one to allocate rating.

On one hand, the service Rorey provided was amazing over the phone. It was quite easy to cancel my policy, and he was nothing but professional, courteous, and fast.

On the other hand...Sharp Insurance, as many other reviewers have mentioned you NEED to hire more people on the phone lines. I waited over 100 minutes to even get through to someone and there were only 10 callers in front of me.

Assuming you get through 10 customers every 1.5 hours, and you're open from 8:30-5, that's only 56 customers you're speaking to a DAY concerning changing, or cancelling a policy. These are abysmally low numbers. Please hire more people to get through to you guys. For that reason alone- because there's no physical office- I have to unfortunately give a very, very low rating.

I called them to get a quote today for home and auto. The lady who answered the call asked me which company I was currently with, when I informed her of the company; she said that company has the cheapest rates and I won’t be able to get anything cheaper than that. She didn’t even bother getting my info and providing me a quote. She just hung up on me.
I’m definitely not going to recommend this company based on the rude interaction I had.

Quick sign up process. Get through right away if you’re signing up. But if you want to speak to your broker after the fact, expect to wait a long time to change your policy. No replies to emails either so don’t bother. I’d avoid this company. Will be cancelling my policy and switching to a broker to can respond to emails .. Terrible service.

I had the misfortune of engaging with Sharp Insurance, where I was greeted by an individual who identified themselves as Ian. The interaction commenced with an unprofessional burst of laughter at my expense, setting the tone for what can only be described as an exercise in disdain. When I attempted to seek clarification regarding whether they were a broker or a direct insurer, Ian’s response was a cocktail of condescension and impatience, culminating in their distasteful decision to hang up. This was not merely bad service—it was a masterclass in derision, underpinned by the presumption that a willing customer was beneath the effort of basic courtesy.

I dread having to call this place when I need to make changes to my policy. 25+ minutes every time in the queue with repetitive hold music over and over again. Can't always wait days for someone to contact you when you submit a request on the app and can't get ahold of someone when time is of the essence. For this reason I'll be finding another broker.

I had an excellent experience with Sharp Insurance. Relocating from BC and trying to navigate the private insurance sector was extremely stressful. Policies and deductibles varying by THOUSANDS of dollars a year. This was by far the fairest quote, easiest to understand, and the service was top-notch! Thanks Charles!
