I recently had a disappointing experience at Servus Credit Union's Westgate branch in Edmonton. The branch manager was aware about this appointment as I was coming from Calgary and it could be delay due to heavy traffic in western area. The employee (KEVIN) refused to open our account, stating we were late. We had traveled directly from Calgary specifically to open the account at this location. because as I am living in Edmonton and studying in Calgary.Instead of helping us to open this account, the employee (KEVIN) insisted to go back to Calgary and should open the account in Calgary.
He could help us as was still time left in my appointment slop but seems like he don't want to stay long to help me or Wanna understand my situation. This lack of customer service and unfriendly Atmosphere instead of helping us. I expected better as branch manager was too friendly and seems helpful but the staff not . I hope they improve their approach to customer care in the future. please be aware with KEVIN. You will be just having disappointment.

They recently updated a new app for online banking. I tried logging in, and after 1 attempt my account was locked. I’ve been on hold everyday this week for over 45 minutes. I’ve left a call back number but no response. They are completely overwhelmed with the number of people dealing with the same problem. They continue to have the worst customer service and do nothing about. I will be switching my banking, Servus is 20 years behind

Shove their fees through before month end so they can collect extra NSF fees, even though the money was there. Slimy business practice, SERVUS!

When and if you can get them on the phone, all they want to do is enroll you in more terrible SERVUS products. There is a reason my car loan, mortgage, credit cards and investments are not with SERVUS: It's because they clearly can't even manage a simple checking account for me.

Sure hope you enjoy being on hold.
Even basic inquiries takes 30 plus minutes of being on hold to speak to an actual person, 30 plus minutes of the same awful repetitive music.
It doesn't matter when you call, they are always experiencing higher then normal call volumes.
Hire more people already, so sick of having to wait to have my issues addressed.

I called and made an appointment. Arriving at the department, I was told that there was no specialist who would serve me. So I have to make a new appointment. This is disappointing.

Update:
But one specialist agreed to help us, because other clients did not come. Thanks for the flexibility.

I was greatly disappointed at the lack of professionalism and customer service on the phone. Was on hold today for 10 min. Left my number. Left on hold for another 10 min or so. Then only after 2 min on the phone with an advisor, he said he's gotta do something and he'll call me back. No call back until late afternoon. Turned out he wasn't the one to make the appmt but to send an email for an appmt. I wish there was a more efficient way to directly make an appmt and cut the middleman.
