Lors d’un accrochage banal alors que mon vĂ©hicule Ă©tait stationnĂ©, des dommages trĂšs mineurs ont Ă©tĂ© causĂ©s sur le pare-choc et la grille. MalgrĂ© la simplicitĂ© de l’incident, la prise en charge par ma compagnie d’assurance s’est avĂ©rĂ©e extrĂȘmement frustrante. Plus de deux mois aprĂšs l’incident, je suis toujours en attente de mon chĂšque de dĂ©dommagement. MalgrĂ© de nombreux appels et le fait que je n’ai pas de responsabilitĂ©, le dossier bouge trĂšs lentement et le centre d’appel n’a aucune explication ou idĂ©e du moment oĂč j’aurai le dĂ©dommagement.

Terrible service. Consistently when speaking with a representative, they are rude, dismissive and clearly not there to actually help you understand anything. Come away each time more confused than the last.

Was price shopping around and found somewhere cheaper for the exact same coverage, mentioned that to my advisor and they basically told me “fine, we will cancel this for you”. No questions, prompts or attempt to understand what was different. I’d have stayed if they’d even tried to understand the difference.

I have bad experience about my pending claim for almost one year. More annoying is spending more than enough time to claim CA $200. I purchased policy for my car including road assistance. But when I needed road assistance and submitted my claim of small amount in August 2024, the amount is not reimbursed as of now . Despite I spent tens hours to reach the relevant department. Each time I contacted, I was referred at least to 6 different people , where each after another repeatedly asked the same questions with no action. At the end I did not found an accountable person. I was told in November 2024 that bank cheque will be sent after resuming Canada post services following the strike. In March 2025 , I was told this is in process. Now you judge accountability of belairdirect !! This was discouraging experience that I spent ten months to follow up the claim but with no response and results. I see the company is irresponsible against its clients.

This company must be the worst company I have ever dealt with. I am currently going through my second claim with them because I had a leak in my roof which they did not fix the first time. They have been stringing us along since April. They say this is a new claim when they know it is not in order to be able to get a deductible out of us which we refuse to pay. The communication is horrible. I currently have water damage in my ceiling that is not being fixed because they will not answer our questions and keep trying to get us to drop the claim. I keep getting phone calls from different people all the time and spoke to my adjuster which was assigned to me only once. If anyone out there is looking for insurance please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM BELAIR DIRECT!!

I have been with belair for my car insurance for many years and once my partner and I bought our first home we wanted to use them for house insurance. I had it set up for a month prior to when we moved in. The day I moved into my home they called me to tell me they cannot insure us due to the fact I told them we will burn 8 cords of wood. The man on the phone told me it would need to be 6 or less. After arguing back and forth anything I said wasn’t good enough. They said they can’t insure us and would likely need to find new insurance that day?! The man I talked to through this whole process sounds and is an absolute idiot. He is not nice to deal with on the phone and doesn’t listen. In the end I’m happy they didn’t want to insure me anymore I will be leaving them for my car as well. I wish I could give them 0 stars.

Got a decent quote from the online intake form. Then they called and asked if I was doing any work to my new unit. I don't think it's unusual that this occurs. We are painting and fixing/renovating the bathroom they said it could only be insured from their affiliated company Impact Insurance as this was a high risk transaction. Seriously? BAIT AND SWITCH.

Charged me $40 late fee when payment didn’t go through because of a problem on their end. Funds were in my account. I wanted to speak with someone to cancel my insurance with them, but they kept transferring me to wrong departments.
