UPDATE: The homeless man, living in his garbage-filled van in the parking lot close to the entrance of Rexdale Mall is still there. A big speaker sits atop his van blasting out unwanted radio broadcasts that can be heard across the road, up and down Islington Avenue. Why hasn't the landlord done anything to remove this man and his van from Rexdale Mall? It's highly disturbing, especially the noise. Given that the van is on private property, the City of Toronto can't do anything about it. It's up to the landlord to arrange with the police to evict him permanently. WHEN will that happen? WHY the delay? Unbelievable. That's not good customer service to those of us who shop at your Rexdale Mall. Shame on you, Romspen staff members!

A MONTH AGO: Today, I tried phoning Romspen and couldn't even get hold of the Receptionist. The phone rang and rang with no voice mail option to leave a message for them. What I wanted to talk about with someone at Romspen is about Rexdale Mall which I understand from my Google search is controlled by Romspen. So here goes with my complaint, as follows:

I live in this area. Much as I am happy to shop in the stores, restaurants and services at Rexdale Mall, I am very unhappy that there is a gray van parked every single day in the parking lot on the north side of the Esso building. The van obviously is owned by a man who lives in that van. I've seen him walking around. There's garbage piled up inside the front window of his van. I suppose that he needs to live somewhere because he'd been evicted from the parking lot of the closed-up Cash Money store at Islington Avenue and Rexdale Blvd.

As a female senior citizen, I am uncomfortable even walking past this van so I keep a wide wake. But, what bothers me the absolute most about this situation is that the blaring radio with a preaching message. You can hear this LOUD, intrusive noise in the immediate area, across the road, down Islington Avenue to at least the main traffic intersection from Islington Avenue leading into Rexdale Mall, etc.

Why do we have to put up with this unwanted noise? Please evict this man and his disgusting van or, at the very least, order him to shut off that radio noise. There are many of us who are unhappy with what's going on so that's why I have no other choice than to write this Google Review to ask for your help. Please and thank you.

Other than that, I am grateful to you for keeping Rexdale Mall open. The parking lot is very packed most days so obviously others feel the same way, too. I wouldn't like to see people stop shopping at Rexdale Mall because of this van situation. Thank you in advance for your help as soon as possible.

Today I learned that they paid ZERO INTEREST in 2024. They should all be in jail. The value of the shares that cost me $10 are now $9 because all they do is dilute the shares to pay their clients.
Horrible. They do nothing but lie. Their distribution is 2%. They didn't pay out their distribution today or answer the phone. Poorly managed company. Stay away. I hope I get my investment back. I'm losing money everyday that I'm invested with them.

This company is a nightmare! There should be a class action lawsuit or something that needs to be done to get the money out. This is my parents retirement and they can’t get out the money after multiple attempts and years at this point fighting for it. If any of the other investors on here happen to have more information to share please do as we are not sure how to move forward. When the company holds meetings for investors they don’t allow other attendees to share information and everyone remains anonymous so we have no way go speaking o one another. They also mute everyone’s mics so you can’t ask questions. This is very scary and they are taking advantage of investors. Please reach out so we can start working together.

This investment firm is withholding the investment money of our deceased grandmother who passed in February 2020 and has refused to pay out the funds thus far after many attempts. All other parties ie, banks etc have all complied with her wishes based on her legal Will yet Romspen, continues to withhold the funds and we are now a year and a half since her passing. She would be devastated to know this was happening. We have now gone ahead and informed the media to hopefully expose the wrong-doings of this firm.

Isn’t it ironic that the only reason these investments were set up in the first place were so she had money to give to her family once she passed. Then it actually happens and they refuse to pay out what is owed?

No doubt it has been a challenging time for ROMSPEN, with the rise in interest rates and some challenging loans. As an investor, the cut in distribution and the cue to exit are less than ideal. But I do give full marks to management for keeping investors informed and for not shying away from the difficult questions.

This seems like a very sketchy and risky investment. My dad has been trying to get his money out for years but they are unwilling to release any funds. My dad is retired and needs this money. It is a shame these types of funds are not regulated. I feel like my dad will never see a cent and neither will any other investors.
