I asked for a claims history report and Peter Yip at Optimum said they don’t give those out to anyone. So what that means is that I can’t go anywhere else for my insurance as I must provide a claims history report to other insurance companies before they will write w a policy. What a scam.

Absolute thieves. After my insurance was cancelled and truck was sold they continued to pull money from my account for 6 months knowing that my policy was void. Stay away from them

I will never buy this insurance again. terrible service. Horrible insurance!!!!! I had to leave them $17,000 because I had refused to replace the car at the same dealership. Thad to change the dealership because there were no cars in it for me to replace. now they have this money!!! I don't understand, how come they are still working and offering their services.

Used these guys for rv ins.
To make a long story short I purchased a new rv and transfered the ins. When new policy showed it was up 300% cancelled policy ins for two days cost 40$ then ate a 260$ cancellation fee.

I have been paying them for years for condo insurance. Eventually this year I submitted a claim which they denied. I submitted another claim for another issue which the adjuster said (in writing) was approved and a cheque was forthcoming. Today in the mail I received a notice of cancellation and a refund of my premium. No cheque. No explanation. I guess it's their policy to cancel the insurance of anyone who has a valid claim. A one way street that only goes their way.

If you have this company RUN!!!
Adjusters fail to call
clients. They even ignore insurance broker!!! A condo fire originating next door and NO response from adjusters I have 4 policies and will not be renewing with them again.

Invasive!!! The amount of information this company presumes it has the right to about our private lives is far beyond reasonable business practice for basic homeowner's insurance. They have expected details about our personal lives, what we're doing and when, sent people out for onsite home inspections taking pictures, periodic life updates, endless forms, and photographs of absolutely everything. We never should have switched insurance companies when we bought the new place!!! Major regret in dealing with these people!!!

We have NEVER made a claim in 25 years and five properties worth of insurance, and we have excellent credit. There is no reasonable explanation for a company being so invasive and pushy. What a horrible experience. We are thrilled to be changing insurers, and so far, the experience is much simpler and very positive!
