Low on money? Need a hot meal? (Or just coffee and a snack?) Shower? Wash clothes? WiFi, phone and computer use. Help finding a place to stay. Don't hesitate. Clean and friendly. Follow the rules and you'll be okay. All are welcome. Very helpful. Open daily.

This place may seem cliquey and unfriendly to newcomers that need assistance but once you get to know everyone they treat you like family and genuinely care. I don't know what I would do without these people at times

Operation Straight Angel was started by the Ktunaxa Nation originally for the homeless Aboriginal people in Cranbrook after a short time they open the doors to all homeless people and in the past six years operation Street angel feeds up to 25 to 40 people 5 days a week. Operation Straight Angel also offers advocacy, clothing, laundry facilities and counseling for those in need.
Operation Straight Angel runs with no provincial funding whatsoever and has done so for the time it's been open. However funds are running low and operation Street Angel is forced to close 2 nights a week now forcing homeless people to find a warm dry place to go.
Operation Straight Angel is in dire need of donations of gently used clothing, sleeping bags, tents and footwear.
Keep in mind that operation Street Angel does not only offer services to homeless people but to those who are on pensions and have a choice of either paying their rent or buying food.
I invite everyone to stop in at 46 17th Avenue South in Cranbrook and see what kind of services are offered for those in need. I'm sure you'll be amazed and please don't hesitate to think twice about helping them out
