Pick your insurance company carefully! The intellect and integrity of your agent will be the outcome of your claim and more over, your written protection. Don’t pick an agent that doesn’t have your wellbeing first. S/he should know your property and know your needs. And mostly when you have a claim they should have had you covered and have your back to get your claim processed. All of this was not our agent in Lakefield,Ontario. We as seniors have never felt so demeaned. After being hit by lightning twice we had to fight to get our claim heard and processed let alone get compensation. Then after all that stress he mentioned that it would be up to the company if they kept us on due to having two claims. We are impressed that he thought we had that close a relationship with God to have him do this to us. From that moment on our lives with this company have been hell. Requesting work done in the house and outside that was truly none of their business and work when I mentioned it in a group chat that no one else had ever had been asked of like we were. People kept telling us to get a new company and we now have. I’m not even able to tell you about his unwanted relationship towards our daughter that we all felt was inappropriate. So a one because there isn’t a zero! He is good at giving you a policy but rotten at servicing the policy. Ten years after he had us remove the existing wood burning furnace due to upgraded insurance concerns he still had our policy as having one. lol. He’s a joke.
