I recently bumped into one of the employees of odlum brown. I told them i applied for accounting internship at odlum brown but never got selected for interview despite my qualifications matching description. They said, these kind of positions are usually filled through nepotism , "you never had a chance in the first place". I may not know how are the at their financial planning services. But i do know that they are unfair with their hiring process if this is the case.

I have never "unrecommended" a company before, but I had a very negative experience with Odlum Brown. Very poor communication, several surprises (not something you want from an investment company), and a very disappointing response when I raised my concerns with management. Genuinely appalling. If you're looking for investment services or retirement planning, I would look elsewhere.

Giving you heads up on Andy
I spoke to a dear friend that I have known since high school who invested at Odlum Brown. Andy Eisenbock at Odlum said her investment would produced 7 % interest on your account, which I thought was extremely high.
I met Andy a short time later and he too stated a return of 7 to 10 %. At that time I was going to invest $1M US, thinking that return was a very high, and decided instead of $1M I would divide it giving $500K US to Odlum and the other $500K US to another company stating who ever does the best in 6 months would get the other $500K US.
My account brought in only $13,166 in 6 ½ months while the other company brought in $13.500 in 2 ½ months. I called Andy and he denied telling me of the 7 to 10% return and insisted he quoted me the 2 to 2.5% return. I not only check my notes that I was taking at the time in his office, but also my recording of our conversation on my cell phone. He got a little indigent with me and stated “your firing me”. I closed my account immediately.
