I had been following Phil's "Americans Living in Canada" Facebook page for several years and enjoyed his blogs and advice. This year I had a completely unexpected US tax bill from the IRS (using another accountant). I emailed Phil in a panic and he got right back to me to ask a few key questions, explain what had happened and reassure me that the filing looked correct, although we could have done things differently over the years to lessen the impact.
