BEWARE.

Our trip was interrupted by Hurricane Helene. We filed a claim and have been denied. Don’t bother calling or emailing them, you will not receive a response or call back. Like others have mentioned you won’t get your money back. Terrible service/company!

Don’t even bother, they took a month to review your claim just to tell you they can only reimburse you $100 after you spend $450 in hotels meals and transportation.
Their clause says max 100$ per day and a $500 per plan.
Yes it’s in the clause but they tell you AFTER YOU BUY IT.
So there is no point of getting this insurance, you’re never going to find a hotel for under 100$ low ballers, scammers.

DO NOT BUY. Generali fine print is so detailed and full proof to benefit THEM that for almost any reason that you would normally buy insurance to protect yourself, they will not pay out. Absolutely by no means, purchase this "insurance" it's an absolute scam and all communication is done via email with no ability to speak directly to a customer service representative. Generali should not be legally allowed to continue to operate in this manner.

It took nine months for my claim to be reviewed. In the end I was told that because my son was seen by a nurse practitioner rather than a physician my claim was denied. It is very common to be treated by a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant. I feel completely robbed by this company.

Horrible! Overall I filed a claim to get money back due to a trip interruption because of a court matter they didn’t even want to try to help me. I tried explaining the situation, and I asked to speak with the supervisor the representative I spoke to with had an attitude and kept raising their voice and would not let me speak. They the stated that they would send the supervisor a message to call me back 3 days have passed and I still have not received a call back from my supervisor. Called again today trying to speak to a supervisor and said no one was available. They also said they would send them an email to contact me tomorrow. They kept asking what the situation was. I explained it to them, but wouldn’t let me finish explaining to them saying it wouldn’t make a difference if I spoke to a supervisor. The Representative started having an attitude while talking to me. He raised his voice and started talking over me and wouldn’t let me speak then went to put me on hold and I just ended up hanging up. This company has horrible customer service With no intention to help the customer that spends money on their insurance, that supposedly works with you to help make your life easier when things come up instead they make it harder. Don’t waste your money on this insurance!!! They are very unprofessional and do not stand by what they say.

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They do not communicate effectively they never answer there phones. And when you leave messages they never call you back. I filed a claim back in July and it's now October and still trying to get paid. This guy Terrell Pruitt the adjuster they assigned to my claim is an idiot and needs to be fired. Dude is terrible at his job.I do not recommend

Scammers! Will never buy this insurance ever again and will tell everyone to never use them. They will fund any possible fine print to deny your claim. They also work with airline companies under agreements not to postpone flights past 12 hrs to avoid providing coverage. Never again! Avoid at all cost!!

On July 30th around 5:30 PM I called this company for some travel insurance.
I have to say that I got a level of service that I did not expect. I spoke to Jackie B. who works customer service out of the South Florida office. I had to cancel a policy and rebook it a different way. Jackie was amazingly helpful and knew the answer to every question I asked. She was so patient with me and clearly explained all the details of my policy. She got me setup the way I really needed. I anticipated having a real problem just getting ahold of a real person. What I found is that it was very easy to get through to a real person. No crazy phone tree that drives you crazy. Jackie also suggested that I download some forms that would be of great assistance should something happen on my trip. She also gave me other helpful advise. I cant thank Jackie B enough and really hope this message finds its way to her supervisors so they can recognize her for her great work! Thank you Jackie!!
