The staff at the branches are great (). 1 star Rating is not for them. Opened an account Oct 2024 because of a heavily promoted 'Free Unlimited Chequing Account'. No monthly Fee & unlimited debit, bill payments, Cheques. Recently Envision Changed my Free Unlimited Chequing account to the Free 'Tru Essentials Chequing Account'. I can still write cheques and get 12 debit/Bill payments transaction Free per month. Will be charged Approx $1.50 per transactions over 12 but they stop charging for transactions after $9.00 has accumulated in transaction fees. NOT PLEASED ENVISION.....! Don't have Promotions if you don't plan to honor them! I take it as a 'Proverbial Slap'! I can keep my transactions 12 or under by using the account mostly as a pay bills account. I have closed another account there and only have this account. A pending sale on my acreage is going elsewhere! Many might be totally happy with the account but I did not like the 'BAIT & SWITCH'...! This means I was a Sucker Customer they caught and then switched the conditions on the account.....!

Used to be a great bank, now they’ve begun charging fees for what was a free unlimited account.
Bank hours aren’t great, ATM is often out of service.
I’ve opened a Simplii account and am setting up bill payments and pay deposits. Envision will essentially be a dead account soon.

Mediocre.

When I first moved to town I had went to try to cash a cheque and set up an account with CIBC as I do a fair bit of business online and being a Credit Union the ONLY downside of Envision Financial is that you cannot use your card for online purchases...

I had lost my wallet & ID (my vehicle was stolen during the last trip moving our stuff to town here) and even though I had the temporary Governmental Identification slip you are given for temporary ID while you wait for your card to arrive in the mail which is supposed to be legally accepted as valid ID anywhere CIBC refused to both cash a cheque of mine telling me I needed an account to do so (even though it was a government PWD cheque which any bank is supposed to cash with an account or not) NOR would they even let me set up an account with them & just kept telling me that I did not have valid ID which I most certainly DID...both the teller AND the manager who ended up coming out from the back of CIBC were extremely condescending and were acting as though I was just some sort of homeless bum from the street or something...the manager would not listen to a thing I tryed to say & flat out REFUSED to so much as even look at my GOVERNMENT ISSUED Temporary ID.

So immediately afterwards I went over to Envision Financial, waited in line, spoke to a teller who then accepted my VALID ID, cashed my cheque for me & then had me sitting down with a rep in one of their back rooms setting me up an account which I have had for over 3 years now with ZERO issues what so ever!!!

The folk at Envision Financial are amazing , kind, & very professional...as I mentioned above the ONLY downside to them is being that they are a Credit Union & not a Federal Banking Institution their debit cards cannot be used for online purchases...so if you do business online, like myself, you may want to look into a Scotia Bank account or something...personally I only ever deal with Envision Financial in person & if I need anything from CIBC, as I eventually DID create an account with them once my ID card arrived in the mail only out of nessesity, then I only ever deal with them online or over the phone, hahaha I refuse to deal with CIBC in Hope, BC's staff in person unless left with absolutely no other choice but to do so.

Lol never in my life had I ever been treated that way in any bank before.

Envison Financial FTW!

I had an appointment but they were short-handed. My new appointment is 6 days away now. Not a great way to greet a new client, but it is what it is.
Update - I got an appointment in 4 days rather than six. Whitney was great and treated me very well. Chris, the manager was very apologetic and both Chris and Whitney treated me very well. I'm glad that I decided to be a customer here. 5 star treatment, which was much appreciated.

Everyone I have met here is excellent! They know what they are doing. They are extremely helpful and friendly. I am old and I sometimes get confused when I am trying to navigate the website but no one seems to mind. They are extremely courteous and understanding when I make a mistake. I feel very comfortable here!

I was at the hope branch this morning on February 2nd in the morning and I witnessed an employee treating a person who is in a minority group in Canada treating this person in a unfair and unjust way just because they belong to this minority group so when I stood up and tried to mention something to this person this person then was also rude and very vulgar towards me and I witnessed this person making very rude gestures through a window about me or the person in the minority group this is the kind or this is the person that is employed at the hope branch in British Columbia if you are a minority in this country or a person who is not part of the minority group and you don't like people being mistreated because of that fact alone I would recommend finding another branch or another financial institution to deal with in my opinion that's what I will do.

I cannot say enough good things about the help I received at this Envision branch. The resourceful staff never gave up on doing the supposedly impossible for the non-profit I volunteer with. Kudos to the folks who helped our organization get a credit card to make our volunteers' lives easier and eliminated a lot of filling out forms, getting cheques written, getting cheques signed, etc ... etc... Thank you! Your never-give-up attitude made it all happen!

Bank teller helped put my shaw internet bill on my online banking and I paid it just to find out she put the wrong account number in. So now I have to pay 10$ to find out where it went and get my 236$ back and take a hit to my credit for missing a payment.update wifi has been cut off, it's been almost 3 months asking for my 236$ back so I could put it in the right account (edit) got my money back few months later along with my credit dropping but thanks for getting my money back will just use credit cards to pay my bills now

Go up
