I had been directed to this insurance place by an acquaintance and was very happy with the service I received. Affordable rates, no pressure to buy something I didn't want and most importantly to me, no wait times at all. I arrived at 10 a.m. and was brought directly to Jason's desk to take care of my car insurance. Out the door in 15 minutes. It was a huge change from the hour-long waits that I have experience that other insurance places.

Had such a positive experience here! Came in to get everything sorted as I bought a used car. Everyone was friendly and seemed to enjoy being there. They were training a new employee so everything was very clear and smooth. They even lent us tools to change over the licence plate! Came for the extended hours, but I'll return for the costumer service 🙂

I wish it were possible to give a negative rating because this place is an absolute fail! I had just purchased my first vehicle and went here to do the ownership transfer and to set up insurance. We waited a bit and then some little Asian lady called us to her desk. The 3 of us settled ourselves at her desk and she sat down, looked at us and said, "Actually No, I'm going to go for lunch instead. You go back sit down and someone else will have to help you." We were all in shock and thought it was a joke at first but she was serious! She shooed us away from her desk and she left for lunch. A few minutes later a man with a thick accent came out and said he could help us. He had no clue what customer service is. I had lots of questions about insurance and rates and the break down of it and he didn't answer any of my questions. The people that were with me were trying to help me and were also asking questions. He was literally useless and provided no information whatsoever and seemed thoroughly annoyed by our mere presence. I was still confused but in order to set up monthly payments I needed a void check and by then my bank was closed so we left. After getting home we realized he had already stamped and signed my paperwork. No other person could touch it because of this (he basically voided my papers by doing this) as I tried another insurance company the following day because of the horrible service I received here. They were stunned that he did this but we all had a good laugh about the lady telling us she wasn't going to help us because she wanted to go for lunch instead. I tried to go back to Discovery the following day on my lunch hour and the guy wasn't there and wasn't going to be there at a time that worked for me. I ended up having to get new papers and going back to the original seller to fill out the forms all over again. MAJOR INCONVENIENCE AND MAJORLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Please no matter what you do, avoid this place at all costs!

I walked into their doors with more then 10 minutes left before they were closing. I had checked online and rushed over. But the gentleman at the front desk informed me that they don't process transactions at the end of the day.

I was just needing to renew my trailer insurance.

Their door sign said open, their hours were listed as open but they were not willing to help me out at the end of the day even tho it was within their working hours.

The gentleman who was sitting at his desk doing nothing repeated to me that they go home in 10 minutes so they didnt have time to help me out.

Nice way to offer customer service Discovery. Maybe change your hours so that people dont waste their time trying to bring you some business.

I had an absolutely humiliating experience at this office, and am appalled at the lack of professionalism displayed by individuals at this office.

The first time I went insure my car, one of the brokers made a joke about my upcoming birthday, age, and having to have it displayed on my license plate. Weird but whatever.

A year later dealing with this same gentleman, and renewing my car insurance over the phone due to COVID 19, he rambled about the state of immigration in Canada (out of nowhere), seemed annoyed when I would ask questions about my insurance, and was pressing so hard for me to buy extra insurance that I felt like the only way to end the interaction was to agree. I then spent months overpaying for insurance I knew I did not need.

When I finally decided I needed to change my insurance, I requested a different broker. This individual asked about my profession, and then made a joke about it, assuming that it was unskilled labor. He also seemed annoyed when I asked questions about insurance, and when I asked him to tell me the difference between a base rate and the extra insurance I needed for work he told me that he couldn’t find out that number and ‘wouldn’t be dreaming up numbers out of thin air’ (which is not what I asked).

All in all avoid this insurance agency. A baffling experience, which I could give them zero stars.

Not helpful at all. Very disappointing since we have used them for car insurance these past 20 years.
They had no appointments for 2 weeks and told us no one does anything but online renewals.
I called Thunderbird on Yates and renewed the same day thru a window.
Discovery has gone way down in service and we won't be going back.

If there was an option for zero stars I'd select that. Just spoke with Alex on the phone, who was extremely rude. It sounded as though I had disturbed him after answering the with, "yeah?". I asked for a quote for auto insurance and sat on the phone with him for ten minutes while he tried to figure out his computer. I then, asked if he would be able to call me back with the quote, to which he replied, "No if you don't go through with this right now I won't call you. It's too busy." I was shocked at the reply and said pardon. He replied by slowing his speech as if speaking to a child and repeated the above sentence. Absolutely shocking "customer service".
