I had my 2-bedroom apartment rented with Cortel Group and had pleasure to work with Alessandro. He listed the unit within minutes of contacting them and rented the unit within the first week. During the entire process, I was on vacation and he took care of EVERYTHING with no issues. The contract he prepared was flawless and found a very good tenant for me. He did all the background check himself as well. I literally signed a few papers while having a beer by the ocean. I highly recommend Alessandro to anyone wishing to work with a professional agent. Thank you again!

I’m beyond excited to have just moved into my new condo at CG Tower! It was such a pleasure working with Simone and the entire team at Cortel – thank you all for your incredible support throughout the process. I absolutely love my first home!

We took possession of our new condo at CG tower in April and, as expected, discovered numerous deficiencies. The real problem wasn't the deficiencies themselves, but the challenge in getting them resolved. They have scheduled multiple repair visits and I accommodated their requests, only for no one to show up. This has been incredibly disappointing, and if I could turn back time, I wouldn't buy anything built by this developer.

It was truly a pleasure working with the entire team at Cortel. I want to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make my home-buying experience so smooth and enjoyable. Moving into my first home at Abeja Condos has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Cortel Group’s CG Tower management is terrible. Air conditioning was out of order for the past 3 weeks in the extreme heat weather without any progress. Only sending emails saying this technician can not fix and that mechanic can not repair instead of making helpful resolution. They don’t care their residents after selling the buildings out. All they care is how much they can grab from their potential buyers. Don’t get trick by their candy wrapping faces. Once u give them the cheque, u are useless to them. I am one of the victim and don’t want others become like me.

My husband and I bought a Condo in Taunton Rd., Oakville.
We moved in November 2022 and we love living here.
We did have much work to be done when we moved in but I’m happy to say that all the deficiencies have been cleared up thanks to Simone & Crystal.
We only have 2 items left which should be looked after by the Property Management.
We wish Simone & Crystal our very best. Thank you.

Honestly, I don’t even know where to start—other than regretting the day I ever bought into one of Cortel's Oakville buildings (pre-construction). Credit where credit’s due: it takes a special kind of talent to take a prime location (Trafalgar & Dundas) and makes a cardboard box look high-end.

The so-called “quality” has redefined what I thought “low standard” meant. Owners footing the bill for roof leaks within 1st year ($1,800+ out of my own pocket)—and that’s just the tip of the iceberg with the stream of other issues—is apparently part of the experience Cortel crafted for us.

And I can’t help but laugh (bitterly) at how every complaint I’ve since read here mirrors mine. At least I can take comfort in knowing I’m not the only one who got trapped in this circus.

Frankly, giving even a single star feels less like a rating and more like satire.

As a long-time real estate professional and past client of Cortel, I’m extremely disappointed with how my recent experience was handled. I received notice on Friday, May 9th that my preconstruction unit was closing on June 9th—just 30 days' notice. My lender advised me I would need to add a spouse to the agreement in order to secure mortgage approval.

I immediately reached out and called and spoke on the phone to one of Cortel’s agents, who assured me that an amendment to the agreement shouldn’t be a problem. After hearing nothing back, I followed up with another phone call and spoke to the broker of record on May 29th—only to be told it was too late and I’d now have to go through the lawyers, who are charging $1,130 for a five-minute amendment. As a realtor myself, I know exactly what's involved in this paperwork, and this fee is excessive. I realize these are not your charges but you had an opportunity to help a client and you choose to ignore.

I’ve personally purchased a $500,000 unit from Cortel and have also sold several of their units to my clients. As a business owner, I always do whatever I can to support my clients when challenges arise. I expected similar consideration here. Sadly, that was not the case.

This experience has been incredibly disheartening and unprofessional. I hope Cortel reconsiders how they treat loyal clients and industry partners moving forward.
