Hands down the worst experience i had the displessure of having. I came here wity my father trying to figure out his insurance and to cancel it. NOEME ELMAS made sure this was impossible to do and berated us for our english while doing so. She contacted someone over the phone and expressed to the other person how we dont understand what shes saying, that we dont understand english. She told the other person "sorry, i am having a hard time explaining this to them" she was quite literally complaining about US to someome else while looking at us. This was ALL done infront of us. Extremely disrespectful and impossible to understand but only because she gave us no real answers, avoided answering and helping us all together. Yesterday we tried to come in at 4:20 and we got turned away because they were closed. Its posted on their door that they are closed at 5. No further explanation. This experience left us humiliated and feel shame for the way we speak. We hope that this type of treatment is not a representation of the entire company. And FYI our english is perfectly fine.

I called today to try and find a way to get my Insurance for my car lowered or cancel it, worker Noeme Elmas seemed helpful at first, saying she would look into it and send me an email I could go over and decided for myself the best situation for me. However the email thread I have with her goes as follows:

Noeme - Sorry I can’t process your request. I just notice that Your servicing company is Swift Insurance.

Myself - I'm sorry I'm confused, my insurance card says co-operators, not Swift.
Can you forward me the contact info needed to cancel my insurance?

If I knew how to contact this insurance company I wouldn't have asked for the information forwarded to me, and as I had no idea I was with a different company, while cooperators have me on file as she was able to view my plan etc. this has made it very frustrating to me and shows exactly how they treat there customers, I have been with cooperators since I got my first car at 17, this is just disappointing to me.

I went to the Calgary branch in Richmond. At first, I was attended by a very kind person who wanted to help me. Then, a presumptuous person, who I assume is the boss, arrived and said they couldn't help me and that I was just wasting their time. You should improve your customer service because it is terrible. I just wanted a quote to compare car insurance prices.

I have been using this branch of Co-operators for 15 years and I have to say they are superb! They are friendly, approachable, super responsive, professional and they really know their insurance products. I would like to call out Summer; she has been there for quite a few years and she is efficient and knowledgeable, but most importantly she is friendly (something that you don't often get with insurance brokers). Overall I thoroughly recommend this branch. Free and easy parking too!
