I’ve been a customer with this company for several years and have had multiple policies with them — auto and home. Up until recently, I was generally satisfied. However, my recent experience with their handling of my home insurance policy has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

This year, my home policy premium was raised by several hundred dollars without any clear explanation, despite never having filed a claim. I decided not to renew and notified the company two full weeks before the renewal date. I even secured a more reasonably priced policy with another insurer.

Since then, I’ve had to repeat this decision multiple times — over the phone and with different representatives — who each time assured me that the policy would be cancelled. Yet I continued receiving calls saying my payment was overdue.

Most recently, nearly three weeks after the policy was supposed to be cancelled, I received another call stating they wouldn’t process the cancellation unless I made a payment — and that it could be marked as “non-payment.” This, despite repeated confirmations that I had opted out and was told the cancellation was being handled.

At this point, it feels like they simply won’t take “no” for an answer, or worse, are trying to coerce customers into paying for policies they’ve clearly cancelled. Either way, it’s unacceptable. They say one thing on the phone, then completely contradict it later.

This lack of transparency and accountability is incredibly disappointing. Unless this issue is resolved properly and immediately, I’ll be cancelling all of my remaining policies and taking my business elsewhere.

We have received outstanding service from this location: in particular, from Hannah Mc Edwards and Cathy Smith. Having dealt in customer service - as an employee, manager and as a client - I can say with certainty that both associates have provided excellent customer service.

Over the many times we've approached Hannah with varied investment questions or related issues, she has been pleasant, approachable and has provided excellent resources and information for us. If she doesn't have an answer immediately, she finds it and is diligent to get back to us within a short time frame.

We'll definitely be referring this agency, both for insurance and investments needs.

We dealt with Hannah McEdwards in the Wasaga Beach Office, I can't say enough positive things about this woman. As first time home buyers, navigating everything from home owners insurance to life insurance she helped us every step of the way get things done in an extremely timely manner given we had a quick closing and all under covid issues as well!! Explaining things we weren't understanding, helping us decide on the right fit for us, financially as well as required. I simply love this woman and will continue to deal with her from here on out as long as she's working!! In my limited opinion this woman is the PERFECT example of a person that knows her stuff and CUSTOMER SERVICE, which in this day and age is hard to find. Hold onto her dearly Co-operators!
