We had our first visit to the clinic this week after one of my dogs was having trouble with her ear. The staff are absolutely amazing and got us booked in very quick. Freya does not like going to vet but Dr. Karen was so sweet to her. After moving away from our previous vet, we are so happy to have finally found a clinic that shows so much care and communication during exams.

Very helpful and caring practice with an excellent service from vet Karen and her staff. They made sure that my cat Cleo was thoroughly checked over after she was feeling off colour😿. Luckily after her visit and tests she was given the all clear so we can resume our travels together through Canada.
Would highly recommend this veterinary clinic 😸

Dr. Johnson, Sam and the team at Colchester Veterinary Hospital are the best! Their ability to ask questions to get to the root of any problems with our boy Waylon is refreshing. Then to thoroughly explain any medication or treatment needed to get Waylon healthy again was very reassuring for me. Waylon is 20 months old and I am so happy to have found Dr. Johnson to be there for us for as long as we have Waylon with us. You’re the best! Thank you 💕

I have been taking my 1 cat and 3 kittens here since almost the opening of the business. Dr Johnson and her staff ,( Sam), are excellent with my kittens. The kittens love coming to see them frequently. The care they receive is exemplary. Their receptionist, Candace is fantastic sorting through issues with pets as pet mamas and papas call in with a sick or injured animal. I’m so Grateful for this incredible service in these challenging times of finding excellent care for our pets.

After being refused care in New Glasgow( at a clinic that we had supported over 50 years) we were at our wits end for help.
Since many of our Clinics have changed hands since COVID, the care we once got from our independent Vet Clinics has diminished greatly.
After many calls we were able to get our very sick dog to Colchester Vet Clinic and their compassionate and empathetic team!!!
Dr Karen saved our dog’s life with prompt service and meds. Testing anaplasma positive from a tick, he would have died in 48 hours.
Thank you to Dr Karen and her staff for giving us a few more years with our little fellow!!!

Dr Johnson and the entire team here were beyond amazing during my visit today.
I have an older dog who we’ve been having issues with her health lately, our regular vet in Truro we’ve spent thousands of dollars over the last few months and the issues were not alleviating and had no answers. Each visit was more frustrating than the last. Today was my first visit here and they will now become my regular vet and will shout from the roof tops how amazing Karen and her team is. Karen diagnosed my dog quickly, carefully and cost efficiently. Our other animals will be making the switch over as well. It was clear my animals well being was Karen’s priority and I felt so comfortable. Their office is open, clear and inviting. If you’re looking for a cost effective and knowledgeable vet look no further.

I’m very grateful to get on with this clinic! My black lab rescue Breaker doesn’t like needles or offices, and normally would get muzzled during shots.

Colchester VH didn’t muzzle him, made him feel calm and safe with some cookies instead, and I think we both walked away feeling better about a visit to the vet for next time. Thanks folks!
