The message, “it’s not you, it’s us. Online banking is currently down. Please try again later.” Is one you better get used to if you want to bank with coast capital. It’s been a problem for as long as I could remember, and I honestly don’t think it’ll change anytime soon. It’s so frustrating and inconvenient their app and website always seems to be down. Seriously considering banking literally anywhere else.

Coast Capital really helped me when I needed it. I’m glad I found them, and recommend them for everyday money matters. Their online services are getting better all the time, as well.
When I was a new immigrant to Canada, I could not get a credit card. I had ‘failed’ the credit test - which went against my credit rating even more :-(. Buying and paying for things with cash, was nigh impossible, and a real stressor.
The Coast Capital teller was empathic, and went out to bat for me, with Dejardin credit card services. She phoned them, and argued my case. Because of that compassionate teller, I got my first Canadian credit card. The rest is history.
I will always be very grateful for her kindness and empathy, combined with great professionalism.
As I think about it all again, I am awarding 5 stars.

I use this bank for minor transactions so I dont have to utilize there services very much. When I do it's a little slow with lines ups. I've had them pull the cash an employer's check no problem then suddenly done the road they need to start holding them. It wasa $100 on $250 check🤔🤫😏 that I got back a week later. Just wacky weird things like that

I'm really liking this branch. Perhaps I'm lucky, but each time I've visited I've been helped very quickly. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. This isn't my local branch but I'm beginning to believe it's worth the trip.

MY HONEST RATING IS ZERO STARSI was told apply online it takes 10 min and come back and we will give you a card or make an appointment for next week. Well I should have made the appointment. 10 minutes and 6 days later I'm still jumping through hoops now sent to a post office to verify my identification and they can't do that in branch?
Terrible experience and not my first with this credit union. First time I was told my credit rating is not high enough to have an account simply to have paycheques deposited, really ?.....
Honestly I would recommend going anywhere else sure it's no fee account is appealing but this is a case of you get what you pay for. It's a bit of a vent but it has been such a negative experiences I feel it's justified.

the staff are wonderful, the company has exceeded all expectations for incompetence. i want to like them but after 5 calls over 3 days, hour pr ,pre on hold and transferred 2, 3 and 4 times, i never actually got a hold of someone at the branch. sad really. i pay less fees over all with larger banks. loved Canada trust, with them for years, the credit unions are big business with little regulations.

Never ever experienced more unsatisfactory service as today. The Coast Capital Savings in Sidney just make me thinking about switching banks. I wasted 30 min twice today to do simple deposit and transfer. With minimal line up, only two customer service people worked out of seven of them, with rest was chatting about personal matter. After 15 min wait for till it took over another 20 min to do simple transfer and deposit that did I could not even finish since I was already 10 min late for meeting. Came back later the same day with similar scenario, where only couple service agents worked (taking their sweet time) and rest was just talking about traveling. This is massive disappointment as being a corporate customer for many years I have never had such embarrassing experience . Long story short do not use this branch since most of people there are absolutely useless and have no idea what they doing. As said I am considering switching banks due to this massive inconvenience.
