I was considering life insurance, and received a cold call from Chubb offering life insurance, what are the odds? I felt it was meant to be. The deal was you could cancel the first month and get your money back no problem. I agreed to the terms, they quickly debited my account, and then I waited....and waited. 22 days later I received the policy details. 22 days for an envelope from Ontario to Alberta I can get stuff from China faster.

I felt that was a little shady, they're really trying to get you in for the month. I read the policy and didn't care for what they were offering. I called back to cancel, and it was a high pressure sales pitch with scare tactics to get me to not cancel (more shadiness). I asked for a refund as per the agreement and the guy was very confused all of a sudden, I asked to speak to a manager and none were available - go figure. I canceled and waited till next week to see the refund, can you guess what I didn't see next week?

I called back to follow up, and after being on hold and some back and forth they found there was a "computer glitch" that had prevented the refund from going thru... (how convenient right?) And the soonest they can refund my money is next month...

I rarely leave google reviews, but I felt the shady business practices of this company warranted a review. I can only imagine what trying to make a claim with this company would be like...

i have them premium for 5 years. i asked them to process claim for job loss. they rejected it simply giving a phone number. such unprofessinal staff.. DONT GET THEIR INSURANCE!!
