I’ve delt with many insurance company’s in the past this was my first in Alberta. This was an absolute terrible experience from day one. I originally got a quote and worked back and forth with my rep to iron out the kinks and it was all good until I got my first statement. I went from a 280$ quote to a 450$ a month , I’ve got a completely clean driving record and have had my full liscence for almost 5 years. I received no indication my rate doubled my insurance agent (Aaron Reese) was completely useless. After 4 months I got sick of waiting for a response why my insurance doubled and never received one. Well after cancelling my insurance I thought my troubles were gone
. Nope I was charged 590$ 3 months after , apparently this was the remaining amount I had to pay. Not sure why this is 3 months after i canceled my insurance and of course my agent didn’t know either. So after spending a week trying to get ahold of my rep who I’ve had troubles contacting in the past. I called, left voicemails , emails called his colleagues and still took a week to reply with legit not even an answer. Would not recommend at all was a nightmare from day 1 and my agent seem to work 1 day a week.

We had been with Intact for close to a decade until our broker retired and we were just pawned off and shoved around to different brokers that didn't care enough to talk with us or go over our options.

After 2 years in a row of increases we were fed up and we were recommended Shy at BIG by a friend. Shy was very diligent in communicating with us and working every possible option to get us the best deal possible. Even if we didn't end up getting a deal I would have switched to them just based on how well we were treated. But, we ended saving close to a 1/3 of what we were paying previously so it made a HUGE difference for us. So bonus!

It's so nice to have someone that appreciates your business and treats you like a person, not just a number. Shy was very personable and explained every process and step in great detail. 10/10, would recommend checking this office out.

Looking for an Insurance Agent can be daunting. I wanted someone that really cared and worked hard to find me the best rates for my Insurance needs. I found that with Lyneta at Billyard Group in Red Deer ( I live in Edmonton). I insured properties and vehicles with her. She worked really hard to find me rates that are considerably lower than my current rates. I never felt that I was taking too much time or asking too many questions.
