Aviva is a fraudulent insurance company. They have been badgering me for premiums for supplemental coverage that wasn't even written into a past policy. Aviva has threatened to smear my insurance record so other companies will deny me coverage. They have also threatened to send me to collections to affect my credit rating. If this happens I will sue this sham insurance company.

Reading other comments regarding this 2 star Google review company it is evident Aviva has many customer complaints. I would have given zero stars or negative if possible. Avoid dealing with this company at all costs. Absolutely make sure that your insurance broker does not use Aviva as an underwriter.

Asked a simple question that took 8 weeks to answer! Terrible customer service and will not be renewing. Also got an email from them saying they have “removed” my “customer satisfaction guarantee” on my policy. What a joke, you have never provided customer service and then when I need it for something easy you punish me by removing this? Do not go to aviva for anything.

This is a company that doesn't seem to want to offer insurance. I had a condo policy with them. It was up for renewal and thought I had paid it on time but it turns out that I had forgotten to pay it (yes, my fault). They sent a letter to my broker saying I didn't pay, the broker tells me a month later that it wasn't paid and now they won't insure me any longer.

I have had my home insurance with Aviva for a few years now. I have had 2 claims for water damage, both at the fault of the tenant above me. Both claims under $5,000. Aviva dropped me as a customer and refused to resign my contract. I have asked for more details on the matter, and my adjuster told me to reach out to my insurance broker. I did. He has no clue as to why they wouldn't, given the fact that my claims were not my fault. All they told him was 2 claims in less than 5 years. We are not resigning her contract. This company is clearly EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and do NOT give any care in the world about their customers. Honestly, I don't think Aviva even attempted to recoup the money from the other tenant's insurance. Or this wouldn't be happening. This insurance company's employees are clearly lazy and just don't care. Which is really unfortunate because their claims process is very easy.

I had the most tremendous claims expereince with Aviva and specifically with my adjuster (Kevin Cerna) from the Aviva Vancouver offices. We had a significant sewer back up claim and Kevin was tremendous. He explained everything in detail, followed up all the time throughout the repair process, and madeesure to check in at the end to make sure all was done in good order. Terrible situation that was made better by Kevin and Aviva. Very lucky to have them on my side in my time of need. Highly recommend both Aviva and Kevin.

Horrible company to deal with… been insured with them for 18 years. I asked about pasturing couple cows not on my land, they have a farm policy that covers where they are. I was inquiring about extra liability. I’m new to cattle and have no idea how it worked. They cancelled my policy regardless if I sold the cows off with proof of sale or not. Had no idea that owning a couple cows not on my land effected my home insurance or I never would have got them.

I would give this company a minus 10 if possible. I have used Aviva for 4 years, over that 4 years the home policy has gone up 94.72%. During August last year I emailed them at 5 different email address and phoned probably 20 times, several times I left a message to call back. NOT one call back, the only response from emails were 3 telling me how to pay, the last one on Sept 1st . I wanted to discuss the $1,094.00 increase.
On September 1st, 2023 at 10:41 am I sent a message "cancel the policy". On Sept. 15th I received a letter from a person by the name of Jessica Bigas telling me how to pay online, and the following statement. "When changes to an insurance policy are requested by leaving a voicemail, sending a text or email, coverage is not in effect until you receive confirmation from our brokerage". Wait a minute, they never, repeat NEVER answered one of my "LMTC" nor not emails, but I did get a response by them sending me the policy 4 different times. On Nov. 8 they sent the policy again with a "final notice" notation. Now I am being harassed every day up to 2 or 3 times a day by some collection agency and saying I owe Aviva for insurance up to mid November. I have documented everything and have all the phone calls and contacts.
There is a saying: Desperate people do desperate things.

I have had a very positive experience with my Adjuster Kevin Cerna at Aviva.
I had significant water damage in our condo from water backup.
Our condo management company was terrible to work with but Kevin was quite thorough and patient .
He was able to work some magic and I recieved a reimbursement for all the damage. THANK YOU KEVIN AND AVIVA.
