It is official. I found the most expensive ev charger in calgary. I was charged 4.43 for energy and .25 cents a min to park. Total charge was $50.15 for 3 hours. This was on the Linas Market elbow charger, registered owner Arlington Street. Please see the attached receipt showing that the price is set by Arlington Street.

Update: Arlington Street Investments did respond through Google after leaving the review below and calling upon my peers to help me make the accessibility changes I needed to be treated fairly. The accessibility door that has been broken for over a year was fixed in one week with our advocacy.

Another Update: I am now seeing a rapid influx of "reviewers" posting shortly after I posted my experience of inaccessibility. I perceive this as a PR campaign on their part to rectify their discriminatory practices.

The reason the review is not five stars is because of transparency. I asked for the timeline of when they received the first request to make the building accessible and this information was not provided. It was implied that me reaching out through Google reviews was the first time they had heard of this accessibility request. It’s important to note that the location that did not have an accessible door is the head office of Arlington Street Investments - meaning that their team also uses the building.

Original Review: Arlington Street Investments has not responded to multiple requests to fix the automatic door button. This means that people with differently abled bodies are not able to access the building. This issue has been raised for over 6 months. I am disappointed that this developer, who doesn’t prioritize equal access for all people, is going to be leading our city’s development along 17th Ave.

Arlington has refused to repair the disabled access door after several requests in the past year for their building at 1550 5 St SW.

As a disabled person with mobility challenges, it is extremely important to have this door repaired and stop discriminating against us who have mobility and accessibility challenges
