Had a very strange and frustrating experience here while renewing my car insurance. I was helped by an insurance agent whose name I believe was TJ. From the moment I sat down across from him I was put off. I passed him my drivers license and he almost immediately made comment on the fact that "I look better now" or something to that effect, remarking on my physical appearance in my DL photo. He then went on to say that I should grow out my beard and suggested that I try micro-blading to improve the effect. I was a little bit put off by all this unsolicited feedback but was generally willing to ignore it. After asking if I wanted to keep my policy the same, he asked for the mileage on my car. I had taken a picture on my phone so I held it up for him. He read out a number a few times and then I looked at the picture and realized he'd misquoted. I corrected him twice and he nodded and confirmed that's what he'd entered. He printed out documents and asked me to sign, at one point pressing me to sign again while I was reading them. I told him that I read everything I sign first and he looked put off but let it go. He then handed me a new document and indicated several places to initial "to confirm they are correct". The top initial was my mileage which was quoted incorrectly by about 8k. I told him that the mileage was wrong and that we'd need a new form. He said he'd fix it but that I should sign that form anyways as that's standard protocol. I cannot fathom why anyone would sign or initial an incorrect document but he insisted repeatedly that I would have to sign it. If this IS somehow proper procedure, he certainly couldn't explain to me why. When I made a concession that if he made the correction in pen as well as through the ICBC system he offered to "put it on a sticky note" and then refused when I said It would have to be in pen on the document itself. Finally he relented, fixed it in the system, and printed a new document which I reviewed and signed. I can't imagine how many people have been bullied into signing on incorrect information by this sales agent. The entire transaction was extremely unprofessional and left a bad taste in my mouth.

Was unable to help me with my concern with my insurance and advised to wait for my renewal. Went to another broker and they were able to do my request. Could have cost me hundreds if I didn’t check in with another broker.

TJ is one of the best agents i ever had to deal with. Great sense of humour, smart, and willing to go the extra mile to help us with the insurance papers. Definitely recommend amc, and especially dealing with TJ. I wish more people would have the same attitude he has ?
