I’m going to give a 1 star review for now. Maybe I’ll come back and change it later if you guys decide to actually answer a phone call and figure my claim out. Guess I should have checked reviews prior. I’ve been a customer for 4+ years now. First and only claim because my vehicle was hit while parked twice in the same spot while on vacation. I had 2 separate claims advisors, but guess what? Nobody can be bothered to answer my calls. Vehicle has been at the body shop for a month now with no news. I work in the automotive industry so I know it doesn’t take a month for an estimate. I’ve made multiple calls and left multiple voicemails. The only time I got through to someone I just got transferred to different people whom have no idea. Been needing a rental vehicle and have no direction how to proceed other than “Keep your receipts for POSSIBLE reimbursement” I pay for insurance for this reason. 1 star from me for now until you guys decide to pick up a phone and get this figured out for me.

Absolutely the worst insurance company to go through! They have done nothing good for me in the past 3 years. As of right now they have put me in debt, won’t pick up a phone call and have 0 contact. About 2 years ago I was in a little fender bender in the winter, they were no help and ruled it 50/50 even though the other person had lied about the story multiple time with no proof, I had proof and same story, witnesses, ect; and now they have been trying to pull out a lot of money, more then my insurance even is. They had also upped my insurance without informing me, and I didn’t even renew my insurance but they won’t stop trying to take out the money and won’t even answer the phone to get it resolved. over the past month and some this has been happening I’ve called at least 15+ times, and different times of the day and nobody answers, mind you I’ve sat on hold for hours before, wasting my time for nothing. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Can never get a hold of anyone here. Phone calls are just referred to other agents that don't answer. Emails dont get responses.
I called in August to put in a claim after getting rearended, was told to call several other numbers. Eventually got a person at their central claims center. Who I emailed the details, got a response today, 7 weeks later.
Called the Red Deer office several times to get updates about my claim as the central claims agent never responded but there was nothing they could do.

My parents have not heard from Allstate in 2 days after talking them about a their car being stolen. It was recovered but there are some damages and stolen items to claim. We pay all this money for insurance, the least you can do is have better customer service when people need you.

First we dealt with someone named Tina(?) (not sure of her name as she kept mumbling) who was not helpful whatsoever and had absolutely terrible customer service. We had heard such great things about Allstate so we called back and spoke to Brenda and she was WONDERFUL. So I really think it depends who assists you, but overall we were happy with the service Brenda provided and are now insured through Allstate solely because of her.

I've been an AllState customer for a very long time now with multiple overlapping policies over many years and it's been overall a great experience without a single issue... Until this year. It's been one thing after another with absolutely atrocious service along the way. I've been (admittedly) incorrectly/overcharged, I've been put on hold for close to an hour MULTIPLE times, I've had emails go unresponded to for weeks and have had a request discuss these issues ignored on several occasions.

It took so long to get them to cancel my condo insurance on a property that I sold that it was still active more than a week past possession by the new owner.

I could go on but I think this gets the point across.

I used to use AllState for everything and recommended them all the time... In the process of cancelling now and will likely not return to AllState in the future due to the horrendous experiences I have had this year.

If christina-corriveau is the agent ask for another. She has terrible customer service skills and likes to play that everything is your fault when the information on their side is miss conscrewed. If you like being ghosted by your insurance than this is the company for you. Their manager jason won't get back to you either. And be prepared to wait forever on hold to even try and talk to anyone. Oh and don't get frustrated with them because Christina will not do a single thing for you if ur tone of voice is to much for her. Plus I've noticed jason has an robot to reply to all these reviews like he's concerned it's not him. His extention doesn't work either.

Been insured with them for 17 years. Can never get a representative on the phone, and they never reply to emails.

This was not how they used to be.

I had a policy renewal that has rolled over every year. In 2024 they outright cancled the renewal, and I found out via email after I told them I needed sold vehicle removed from the policy. Again, no call, an email stating "I just reviewed your policy and the policy....was not renewed on.....2024.

Thank you"

That's it. I tried calling 4 times. Sat on hold for extreme amounts of time to botht heir Red Deer office, and the "alberta Supprot Team.

Upset, I then decided to go out and get insurance quotation on our auto and home. I received a mirrored policy from another insurer for alomst half the policy that All State had me paying. That was one option, 90% of all other quotes were significantly lower than All State.

I understand that some agencies can cite customer service as an inflated cost vs other providers and have higher premiums, but 17 years as a customer and am treated this way.

It's unbelievable.

To update, I got this generic message below stating that they care, and to call Dillingham. I even did that for feedback, and never got a call back.
