Darlene Larocque - Supportive and Professional During a Difficult Car Insurance Experience!

Darlene has been incredibly supportive and professional throughout a very challenging car insurance situation (which was no fault of my own).

Before Darlene's involvement, I was either treated poorly or clinically by other parties. Darlene, on the other hand, has been a professional and compassionate presence. Her efforts have brought my family and I much-needed calmness during a frustrating experience.

I'm truly grateful for her help and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone dealing with a complex or stressful insurance matter.

By far the worst insurance company I have dealt with, from time to time customer service is great. I called and “canceled” my insurance on my truck in march because it is no longer suitable for the road. The lady confirmed with me it would be closed. Now I. August I get my piece of mail stating about my renewal coming up on a truck insurance that I had cancled 6 months ago to find out they will not reimburse me close to $700 because there is no note on my account stating confirmation it was actually closed and I hadn’t complained because I haven’t noticed these payments coming out of my saving for my new vehicle.

Now through trying to correct this issue I was calmly talking to the lady on the phone about a way we could correct the issue and reimburse me from the time my vehicle insurance was supposed to be taken off. She tells me no says it is not an argument or conversation. And then without saying anything puts me on mute mid conversation I can still hear her breathing and ticking/tapping in the background while she completely stops communicating with me but stays on the line.

Extremely disappointed by the services here also payments come out extremely inconsistently supposed to come on the first but comes out anytime between the first and the 12th of the month which has cause multiple payment issues in which I was served multiple NSF fees that I was held accountable for because I had other unimportant payments come out pulling from their payment because it’s a week late to be withdrawn.

Allen's "service" is such a sorry and silly situation that it's funny. Unfortunately, there is no MINUS 5 star rating.

3 weeks ago, Alyssa Stanley, a broker at the Warkworth office quoted me $ 882 - the $ 792 renewal price for my existing car, and "approximately $ 90" for the car I intended to purchase. She asked that I send the transfer of ownership and safety certificate. I sent in the VIN # and asked for a confirmation of the quote. The broker's quote has not changed since June 17.

When I called to make the payment, a week ago, the receptionist asked who was calling. She then advised me Alyssa was busy, and would call me back. No response since my July 3 call.

The following day, I emailed Alyssa to make the payment. No response since July 4.

July 9, after calling the insurance company directly to pay for the premium, they directed me back to Kim Lennon, Motivation and Performance Leader. Kim said Alyssa was away on a unexplained absence, but that Kim understood there was a problem and would get back to me to resolve it.

No call or email by 4:30 closing time.

I emailed Kim to follow up.
She undertook to get back to me July 10 in the morning.
No call or email.

I emailed Kim to let her know that I needed to pay and get the certificate of insurance by 3 pm today, as the previous owner of the car wanted to change his insurance.

No call or email.

I emailed at 3:15 pm. after missing the seller's deadline.

She responded, via email with a 'new quote' instead - for $ 1824 - far more than double the initial quote of $ 882. Big problems here, hope this foolishness doesn't affect anyone else.

I advised her - and emailed Bryce Allen - the head of Allen Insurance yesterday to let them know that, if I was unable to pay for the premium, as originally quoted - by noon today, I would post this review.

No response from either Kim Lennon - or Bryce Allen.

Marilyn from the Warkworth location was amazing at walking me through what I needed for insurance and what I would need to get the car into my name. She explained everything I needed to know about the insurance package, let me know what was going on at each step, and got me back on the road fast! Over the years with Allen Insurance they have stayed intouch updated me on any changes to policies and helped me with my questions. Thank you!

I have had horrible experiences with insurance companies before, but I gave Allen Insurance a chance. Cheryl Scatchard was the who I dealt with and she was amazing, I told her what I needed and she put in all the work!!
