I've been debating writing this review for awhile. But my last trip to action pawn was so bad, i no longer have any doubts writing this.

I'm listing the main problems i've come across being there only 5 times.

PROBLEM #1: You'll never know what they're selling

They tease you with boxes/containers full of collectible video game boxes/manuals. Think you can look through and find something cool? no. Just try asking. They'll put you on the spot and ask you "what are looking for" and unless you come in wanting an EXACT game, you'll just be shut down.

PROBLEM #2: They really don't care

3 instances I've asked for specific games they said they didn't have. Which THEY ACTUALLY DID HAVE. And this has happened to me 3 times. Only from coincidentally looking at random game piles i spotted them. I mean they didn't even try looking, they clearly aren't looking for sales. No apology, no prices. just "oh".

PROBLEM #3: Half of their inventory isn't even for sale.

As ridiculous as this sounds, a lot of their inventory isn't for sale. Especially if the owner isn't there because the other employee who works their isn't sure what is or isn't for sale. It's just disappointing, the owner is a collector himself and is just too lazy to move his stuff out of the way. Very annoying/discouraging.

PROBLEM #4: Overall rude

Staff will interrupt you with personal phone calls/text messaging. Owner is VERY rude, couldn't stop swearing even when I was with a 12 year old boy. Everything is very dirty too. Very poorly run. They're overall hyper critical/ very paranoid, 118th ave has dulled their interpersonal skills.

OVERALL: If you're looking for specific titles and don't care about paying higher than ebay/ low quality stuff, I guess this may be a viable option. But honestly, If you're already paying top dollar you might swell go through eBay. At least that way you'll have a receipt, as these guys don't like debit/credit, they'll give discounts for cash. But besides all their boxes/manuals look pretty beat up anyways.

Owner won't even acknowledge your presence, just concentrates on his laptop screen. Filthy and disorganized store.
