McClelland Financial Group of Assante Capital Management was recommended to me by a neighbour who had interviewed them. I had used an investment broker for a number of years but unfortunately had a bad experience that ended my using a broker, or as I came to call them, a "investment stock guesser". All went well, until they made a very bad guess. When I suggested that the stock was in trouble, I was told "Just wait until the 3rd quarter". The company was liquidated in the third quarter and I lost $50,000. The broker did not diversify enough and that cost me a great deal.

I thought that the greater diversity offered by the great advisors at McClelland Group made very good sense. I would no longer be at risk of my advisor guessing and making a bad choice. My risk tolerance has been calculated and they adjust my holdings to ensure that this is the way my funds are invested. I am told that the number of companies in my holdings would be around 10,000.

I have the opportunity to meet with my advisor, Michael Connon, and others in the office as required, to review my financial position and goals. My family has had several meetings with my advisor and me, so that the proper planning can be done.

I have been a client for almost 12 years and find the financial services offered to be great. They are my trusted advisors and I feel confident in having them manage my investing and help with other financial matters - taxes, insurance and Will advice. I have no hesitation in giving them my greatest thanks for their work on my behalf and really enjoy the education provided in Lunch and Learn sessions, podcasts and videos on timely financial and other interesting matters. I can add to my past comments by stressing how impressed I am with the new location and the opportunity to meet with Mike Connon and Gabriel Zitoli. Gabriel has been at the last couple of meetings with Mike and he is now my main contact for all kinds of questions. He is very quick to respond and demonstrates that he is very knowledgeable. I am very pleased with him and all of the staff who continue to help me. The podcasts and UTube Learning videos that are sent out provide good opportunities to learn all kinds of relevant information with respect to financial decisions.
