After many years of my professional corporation being a client to this accounting firm, I had to leave with a VERY bad taste in my mouth. I used to have all my accounting and payroll done by this company, and I was under the impression that my matters were taken care of properly. For the most part, when everything was straight forward and easy, they did the work and I paid them what they asked for.
The reality hit when I was selling my business and I needed serious professional work for tax purposes and other technicalities. Then I realized this firm was not up to par and never had the professional capacity they always claimed they did. They had absolutely NO CLUE about "working capital" and it's dynamics in the framework of the sales of the shares of the corporation. I had to hire a third - party firm to handle that, after waisting so much time with this firm assuming they knew what they were doing. The bigger problem was that they would not tell me they had no expertise in this till the very last moment that I figured it out myself!!! Second aspect I got stung badly with this firm was their HUGE error in dividend allocation from my corporation, which resulted in about $60,000 loss to my family. The final cut was when we explained to them how they made the mistake that cost us a hefty $60,000, the owner of this firm and the head accountant simply said that "the damage was already done and there was nothing they could do or try", and you guessed it, they didn't do anything about it. Not even an apology!!
I would not recommend this company!!
