If you’re trying to be a new member they have plenty of customer service reps, however if you have questions about your coverage you’ll be left on hold forever. Terrible customer service. We used to have good customer service but nowadays they just don’t seem to care about customers.

Update:

Medavie lost documentation I submitted for life insurance coverage. In the original documentation there were no health issues. After months medavie told me they hadn’t received the documentation and therefore they had lost it. I was requested to submit updated documentation. Health conditions changed over this time, and now the application was rejected. If they had received the original documentation it would have been accepted.

Truly unprofessional company and one I have been fighting with for almost a year over this issue. They don’t value their clients at all, and try at all costs to not pay out or provide services.

The people in the quick pay office are great. Quick Pay office in no longer an appropriate name. It now takes 5 to 7 days to receive your money. That is not quick! The call center people are hit or miss. I have had some great people answer and l people answer who were terrible.

The worst insurance provider I have ever had. Having to deal with coordination of two Blue cross plans trough two different employers trying has been frustration after frustration trying to get paid but the second plan for my dependent children. The online claim submission has zero requirements for what needs to be submitted which results to resubmitting the same claim at least 3 times until you meet all their requirements that you are completely unaware until you get the payment denied and start the claiming process again. I realize how much I appreciate my previous insurance provider Manulife that was very easy to submit claims and paid within 24 hours, not unlike Blue Cross 2-3 weeks. Would give them zero stars if I could. Wish my employer did not switch to them.

I have a love hate relationship with Blue Cross. To say the reps on the phone are terrible is an understatement but the employees at the burnside location couldn’t be better.

I go there to get reimbursed for medical services I paid for with my money that is covered by blue cross some of the places I go to take cash only so I get a receipt and turn it into blue cross for reimbursement.
