Very strange experience. I've never had an associate try so hard to NOT generate business.
Objective: to insure dirtbike with liability coverage.
Strike 1: "we normally only quote people who have car insurance with us".
"That's funny, my wife received a quote yesterday".
"Well okay, sit down and I'll provide one".
Strike 2:
"I need to run a credit report on you"
"No thanks, I'll pay upfront"
"Well then, Insurance will cost you more".
Strike 3:
"Please provide insurance history for the last 10 years".
15 years provided as requested.
"I see you had an incident over 5 years ago..I'll include that incident anyways
Even though I am only required to provide incidents that are less than 5 years".
Strike 4:
"I need a picture of your motorcycles VIN"
Picture provided. (Black frame with the VIN stamped into it)
"Not clear enough"
End of communications.
Should have been: "please take another picture that's clearer or bring the motorcycle over to view the VIN".
At this point, I went to another broker and insured the bike within 15 minutes.
Pleasant enough to talk to...just an odd encounter, where it honestly felt I should have walked away at strike 1.
Lesson learned from my end.

Our little Farm has been Insured with them for the past 3 years and the previous home owner for 15 years . No one has ever made a claim despite paying large amounts for the premiums each year . The renewal has just come through at more than double . So much for prompt payments and loyalty . All I can say is this is disgraceful behavior .
