For new emigrants this is a good opportunity to open an account and start a credit history. The staff speaks Russian and Ukrainian, which is also very important for those who speak English poorly. 2022 Update: Still by far the best place I can find in London for GIC investments, interest rates are still a LOT better than what TD, RBC, CIBC, Scotiabank offered for 1 year term deposits (currently 4% with Ukrainian Credit Union. Major banks offering only half that on average). Two years with them and still a very happy customer for my GICs.

Original Review: Joined them because their GIC rates were nearly 2x better than TD bank. Pleasant staff, friendly and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend them for GIC investments as of Dec. 2020.
