We politely sought a quote for auto and home insurance, they replied, we gave the requested info and then they ghosted us. We happen to have a clean insurance record. Not sure what happened at their end but we guess our business did not matter much to them. Fortunately, we found other willing insurance brokers in Kanata who were friendly and easy to work with.

I had several exceptional years of service with Allan Man, I felt it was like small town brokers in the big city. I do not enjoy giving a poor review but my recent experience with Allan Man both with my personal adjuster Brian and the owner Allan have left me to warn others to stay away.

I have had a minor repair claim since March (it is near end of July as of writing this). At no point has there been any urgency to finish, look into or check up on. Despite several calls, escalations with the manager Allan neither Brian nor Allan seemed to care about my satisfaction or the completion of the claim which is still incomplete with complications as of writing this.

I have been left fully self service to deal with the body shop and directly with Aviva.

Please reconsider doing business with this location. I have had very poor communication, they have not answered many of my questions, have no urgency and there is quite clearly no concern for the customer at the end of the day.

Other important warnings.
-I had deductible forgiveness but am paying a $200 deductible.
-they sent me to out of network bodyshop with no warranty and resulted in delays and additional estimates required.
-they never communicated with new bodyshop and left me to work directly with Aviva for all concerns.
-Never replied to estimate quotes to reduce service after realizing service paid for was not as “full coverage” as expected.
-Left literally months without communication of any type while happily taking my monthly payment.
-Broker went on sick leave without letting me know, I had to escalate to manager to find out, manager Allan never followed up with promised to call back when he found out about state of negligent claim.
-Left to personally deal with bodyshop, arrange for rental and body shop is now understaffed so my car is just sitting in their parking lot with no actionable work being done.

I do not enjoy this review, but you have been warned. Some very simple human decency based concern and communication could have avoided all of this but I am 5 months into a very minor repair and they still do not even know what is going on.

***Update, An attempted placation and excuse is provided below. Customers read into as you will. Notice at no point was I on their radar until I left this poor review. They are only in it for your monthly and have no wherewithal to handle complex or escalated situations. My case is still openly active I am actively calling aviva and they have made no attempt to contact me or help beside providing the below excuses.

Chris Lavigne was great. We moved our home and both cars. Yes, we saved money but Chris patiently pointed out the differences between the policies and gave us a quick run down on the companies - claim service and so on. We also challenged him with a boat we purchased in the US. Chris provided us with choice of markets even with the challenge of the boat being in the US for two months before we bring it to Canada. Again pointing out the differences in the policies and companies.

Can't forget the receptionist - she's awesome. So professional yet friendly. Love dealing with this office.
