I have been with Mr. Madari doing my taxes for last 10 years. I always got maximum refund and any time I get audited he was available to answer all the audit questions. Last year is did not have my RRSP receipt from Jan to Feb. Mr. Madari was able to calculate the RRSP contribution from my pay stub to the cents. He helped me close the GST account as I do not have business anymore, did amazing job on refunds. I recommend him to everyone.

I had such a bad experience with Gulam Madari of Ledgers Accounting and I have decided to provide this review to echo the negative experiences that have been shared by others, as well as to protect others given the sensitive nature of tax returns. You as a customer are handing over a lot of personal and sensitive information, therefore losing documents is something that should NOT be taken lightly. That was the case for us. Gulam lost our documents and he was not upfront about it. CRA required additional information given the nature of some of our claim. Infact, Gulam had flagged this to us as we left him with all our documents and some were only hard copies and he was to scan everything. Gulam was not able to produce the documents when CRA requested. He came up with every lie and excuse regarding submitting the documents, which was time sensitive. We prepared our taxes with Gulam on February 26, and as we speak it is May 5, and he still does not know where our package of documents is. I decided to look at his reviews and I wish I had read them before. When i mentioned to him that others have had similar experiences with him as per the reviews I read, his story changed and he started to say that we did not leave the documents with him. The strange thing is that I have a record of all our conversations that clearly indicate we left the documents with him. Dealing with Gulam has caused me so much mental stress. In addition, he threatened that he has alerted his lawyer if I give a review. I do not know where it says we as customers should not provide our reviews. I would like to warn others. IF YOU VALUE PROFESSIONALISM, RESPECT AND MOST IMPORTANTLY PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION, then be cautious on who you deal with for your tax returns. I am yet to share this with BBB and flag it with CRA as well.
