This branch was the old HSBC location, which had Horrendous customer service. I went to this RBC branch today to withdraw some cash and I find that they are using the same HSBC staff. How disappointing!
HSBC had loooooooong lineups as the staff were just TOO slow and incompetent. They never looked-up to see the long line-ups. Unfortunately, its the still the SAME. This new RBC branch used the same lame useless staff, and the lineups are still there. In fact, there were only 2 tellers open ... WOW!
Do us all a favour just close this branch and get rid of the lame staff!

Horrible Customer Service !!
Employees here are incompetent, lacks etiquette, are not nice or polite, they need to be replaced !!

When I said I was in a hurry, the manager there didn’t help out to speed up the process, he prioritized new employees’ experience over my time!!

Please rehire new employees, Jesus Christ!
They are not even fluent English speakers, most of them are Hong Kong Chinese or filipino.

Please replace them fast because this is a very convenient location close to the station that many people will use.

Same experience with other customers, the wait is long. But once i got to the front, i am met with the best customer experience. One of the managers even remembers my parents last name. They have time to show my parents what to do ( they messed up their bank PIN).

It takes almost an hour to close an account I don't need and have not used for a while ...
The same task took 5 minutes at TD Bank

Long wait time. I was lining up on the fourth place and it took me around 30 minutes to get to the counter. There are nine counters that can serve clients, but only four of them are opened which is not the normal case because most of the time they only open two or three counters.
Not sure why HSBC doesn't open more counters when it is crowd. If they let those 4 to 5 employees who are sitting at the back to get to the front, it will definitely help to speed up the line.
If any of you want a quicker service, you can try the Aberdeen branch, I highly recommend it.

The line up is terrible. Personal, Premier and Jade in the same under serviced line. The lady behind me had a question about GICs and the security guard was the only person to help direct her (in correctly in my opinion). Also no WiFi during the line up.

Went with my mother recently and they treated her like a criminal even though she has had a long time account with HSBC. DONT EVER COME HERE! LITERALLY THE WORST SERVICE EVER. My mother told me she is switching banks ASAP because HSBC doesn’t know how to treat their customers correctly. Would give 0 stars if possible. Wait times are also INSANE. Came in on a Thursday workday at 3pm and the line is full. It took almost 40 min for the next person in line to be called to the counter.

So glad they are closing. The worst bank ever. Horrible customer services and unnecessary paperwork needed for the simplest transactions. Very 1950s type of way to run a bank in the 2020s. Bye forever.
